CULTIVATING PASSION FOR THE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE OF CYCLING ACROSS THE STATE OF GEORGIA

Georgia Cycling Association was founded in 2013. During the inaugural 2014 season the Georgia High School Cycling League, as it was known then, had 101 high school student-athletes participate. In the years since the league has exploded in popularity: ridership has multiplied by ten in the league’s first seven seasons.

It was in the 2015 season that the league added a middle school program. Youth cycling teams continue to pop up across the state of Georgia. From Albany to Dalton, Augusta to Columbus, and all points in between, including metro Atlanta, we cover the state of Georgia.

In 2021, we launched a new name, new logo, and new website. This rebranding resulted in the name we use today, the Georgia Cycling Association.

Georgia CYCLING improves lives

Georgia Cycling programs are open to all students grades 6-12 regardless of ability. We aim to help as many children as possible develop lifelong healthy habits which is why we offer financial aid and loaner bike programs.

In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, we create environmental awareness by introducing students to different ecosystems across a variety of cycling sites. We are committed to a inclusive cycling culture that welcomes diversity in ethnicity, race, gender, orientation, and skill level. We hope our family-friend competitions are an opportunity for families to develop deeper connections with each other and the broader community.

our vision

Improve the lives of people across Georgia through the active and healthy lifestyle of cycling.

our mission

To inspire Georgians to get outside and ride a mountain bike through inclusive programs that champion the interests of everyone who rides or wants to ride a bicycle in our state.
