MERCHANDISE ASSOCIATE

The Georgia Cycling Association is looking for two (2) outgoing and friendly members of the Georgia Cycling community to serve as Merchandise Associates for the 2023 Race Season.

Merchandise Associates are the front-end operations of Georgia Cycling’s Merchandise program. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable in-person shopping experience. Associates should have a customer-oriented focus and possess the ability to multitask to prevent extended customer wait times.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers as they enter the Merchandise Tent, assisting them in locating merchandise, and answering their questions.

  • Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day by restocking sold inventory or arranging goods to fill any display gaps.

  • Participate in store opening procedures: assist in ensuring that the store is stocked, organized, and displayed in a visually appealing manner.

  • Participate in store closing procedures: count all items for inventory settlement and pull needed inventory for the next day (if applicable).

  • Maintain a physical presence in the sales area as a loss prevention deterrent.

  • Uphold merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.

  • Collaborate with the rest of the store team to achieve sales goals.

OPERATIONAL HOURS:

  • Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Priority will be given to those who can work all ten events. View the race schedule here. However, consideration will be given to those who can work a partial schedule.
